QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Wood Science, Wood Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to those with research experience in the field of liquefaction and hydrothermal treatment of wood. Familiarity with topics including development of novel chemical extraction techniques from decommissioned preservative-treated wood waste, development of adhesives and other industrially useful chemicals from decommissioned of preservative-treated wood is highly desirable. We seek a candidate with some technical experience in developing and conducting research in the aforementioned areas. The successful applicant will be encouraged to interact with faculty at the LSU AgCenter,
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
