The live internet and satellite broadcast will begin promptly at 7:00 pm Eastern Time (6:00 pm Central Time) and continue until 10:00 pm Eastern Time (9:00 pm Central Time). The sessions are hosted by regional and national experts and include the opportunity for audience interaction via toll free and internet call in options.

Interested parties have many options available to them for participation. Anyone interested should call their local county Extension office or state forestry agency office (located in the blue pages of their phone book) to see if the course is already scheduled for their area. Participants are also encouraged to work with their county/state Extension or state forestry office to host a local program if one is not already scheduled for their area. Fees vary by state but due to sponsorship and in-kind services they have been priced very reasonably each year since 2000. Fees include access to the satellite/internet program, notebook and speaker note materials, and other local costs associated with hosting the program.

County agents, state forestry agency/association foresters and anyone else interested in working at the local level to host a site or have any related questions are encouraged to contact Bill Hubbard (706) 542-7813 or (706) 340-5070 (whubbard@uga.edu) or George Kessler at 864-656-4836, 864-608-4040 (gksslr@clemson.edu) for more details. In addition, the shortcourse website will contain valuable information, including state contacts, as it becomes available. This website address is http://www.mastertreefarmer.net
