array('c', 'The successful candidate will be the research coordinator for theFamily Forest Research Center (FFRC; www.FamilyForestResearchCenter.org). The FFRC is apartnership between the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Department of Natural ResourcesConservations and the U.S Forest Service, Northern Research Station dedicated to increasing ourunderstanding of family forest owners.Position Description:The research coordinator will work with other FFRC members to study the attitudes and behaviors offamily forest owners using qualitative and quantitative research techniques. The coordinator will beinvolved in all stages of the survey process including design, implementation, and analysis. Thecoordinator will assist in the development of various research projects, including the work necessaryto attract and implement grants.Position Requirements:Qualified candidates must have at least a Master's Degree in forestry, natural resources, sociology,economics, or an allied field. Excellent organization skills as well as good oral and written skills arerequired. Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative survey methods is highly desirable. GIS,statistical, database, and web design/maintenance skills are also desirable.Salary and benefits:Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
