The Forest and Wildlife Research Center/College of Forest Resources, Mississippi State University is seeking to fill a 9 or 12-month, Tenure-track, fulltime, Assistant/Associate Professor Position with research, teaching and service responsibilities in the area of Biobased Composites

Essential Job Functions: participate in all aspects of the Forest Products Department research, teaching, and service program; teach undergraduate and graduate courses; assist in student advising, curriculum development, and other departmental responsibilities as appropriate; develop and conduct a nationally-recognized research program in forest products, wood science and technology with an emphasis on wood and biobased composites; advance the tripartite land-grant mission through collaborative efforts both within the University and abroad; pursue extramural funding through scientific-based grants and contracts; and provide professional service to both the University community and external stakeholders.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

1. accredited Ph.D in Wood Science, Forest/Biobased Products or an allied scientific discipline
