Essential Job Functions: teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; develop a productive, externally-funded research program; advise graduate students; and serve the School of Forestry, the University, and the profession.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. an earned Ph.D in forestry, soil science, ecosystem ecology, or a related field  completed by the position start date


Preferred Qualifications:

1. demonstrated interest and/or experience in innovative university-level teaching and student mentoring

2. demonstrated record of securing external funding to support research

3. demonstrated research experience in forest soil science in the context of ecosystem ecology, as evidenced by publications in the peer-reviewed literature

4. at least one degree, or course experience, in forestry or forest management

5. experience with and commitment to working with people of different backgrounds
