Louisiana Tech - Asst. Professor

Applicants should have a PhD in forestry or natural resource management, or a related discipline, with a specialization in GIS/GPS, photo interpretation or remote sensing. Candidates should have a working knowledge of ArcView and its modules, ArcInfo and ERDAS as well as digital image processing and GIS integration. Experience with Trimble GPS equipment and software (Pathfinder Office and Terra Sync) is required. Research interests should be in the area of GIS/remote sensing with an emphasis on natural resources. Interest in developing and maintaining Distance Education/Internet curriculum in Geographic Information Science is desirable.
