Responsibilities: Teaching and research in urban forestry:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in urban forestry
  • Advise undergraduates and supervise graduate students
  • Conduct research in the area of urban forestry and publish theresults in refereed literature
  • Acquire external grants and contracts to fund an innovativeresearch program
  • Participate in directing a departmental urban forestry option forundergraduates
  • Participate in outreach programs of the department and college
  • Participate in university service and the governance system
Qualifications: Ph.D. with an emphasis in urban forestry,landscape horticulture, or closely related field. Stronginterdisciplinary background in several aspects of urban forestrydesired. At least one degree in forestry preferred.

Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience

Deadline:

Negotiable, with a target of January 1, 2002
