Research Assistant Professor--Forest Health Monitoring
- The primary responsibility of the person in this position is performing national assessments of forest ecosystem health. To accomplish this, the incumbent will serve as the technical coordinator and have primary decision-making responsibility on technical and research aspects in the production of a national forest health assessment document. The incumbent will prepare research proposals, work plans, and conduct original research in landscape ecology, quantitative forest ecology, and applied statistics. The research will include extending existing theory, developing and applying appropriate analytical techniques, testing hypothesis, reporting results in a suitable venue, and implementing new findings in national assessments. Secondary responsibilities of the incumbent include technology transfer and developing a one-hour graduate-level course in applied quantitative forest ecology. A Ph.D. degree in forestry or natural resources is required. Demonstrated abilities to perform and publish research in the field are preferred.

DISTRICT 1 DIRECTOR
- The District I Director is administratively responsible to the Associate Vice President for University Extension/Director of Cooperative Extension and participates in administrative and policy decisions as a member of UI Extension and College of Agricultural and Life Sciences administrative teams. The District I Office is located at the UI branch campus in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The district director promotes teamwork among county, specialist, and research faculty and provides leadership to district Extension program planning. The district director is responsible for 17 county faculty in 9 counties and on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation in northern Idaho. The district director also contributes to the broader mission of the university and college by facilitating UI outreach in northern Idaho in cooperation with the UI Coeur d'Alene Center Dean and the Associate Vice President for Northern Idaho. He or she will work closely with academic department administrators and will provide input on needs for research and academic programs delivered to northern Idaho. The district director serves as a liaison for the college with North Idaho College and area communities.

Intern - Invasive Species and Biodiversity Pilot Projects

Assistant Professor of Renewable Natural Resources
- Teach an undergraduate course on forest and agroforest silviculture, develop new courses in forest ecology, forest restoration, agroforestry, forest stand development and yield, stand dynamics, biometry, or the instructor's area of expertise, and teach other courses, including core courses, as needed by the department.
