Type of Appointment:        Twelve-month, tenure-track

Responsibilities:
Teaching and research in natural resources recreation planning and management: Teach undergraduate course(s) in natural resources recreation. Teach graduate-level course(s) related to research interests. Conduct research and publish the results in refereed literature. Acquire external grants and contracts to fund an innovative research program.  Advise undergraduate students and supervise graduate students.  Participate in outreach programs of the department and college Participate in university service and governance

Qualifications:
Required:  Ph.D. with emphasis in recreation management and planning. 
Desired:  At least one degree in a renewable natural resources-related discipline, interests in the human dimensions of natural resources, and/or interests in environmental education.

Salary:  Commensurate with education and experience
Deadline: February 2, 2004, or until a suitable candidate is selected
Starting Date:   Negotiable, with a target of July 1, 2004
